In October 2013, my wife and I bought our first house for us and our 5 children. We live near an expensive southern California city so it can be challenging to get a house for a decent price. We were able to find a 1330 sq ft, 3 bedroom house on a .44 acre lot. The house ended up costing us just under 350,000 dollars. The house needs a lot of work as it is a 60 year old house that has not been maintained well over the last decade at least. The bones to the house are good, but much of what can be seen needs to be updated or replaced.
I spent about 2 months trying to get things cleaned up and ready to move in. I wasn't able to fix nearly everything so I will have to do a lot of the work myself. I hope to show some of the work that I do here.
